This poster that I created, it shows all the information I learnt about triangles. Triangles are tricky but are useful when tesselating and making patterns around the world. I love how triangles can make illusions and use them for quilts and traditional clothing.

My story
This is a story I worked on in my spare time. It is called fantasy fame. It is a story about a girl who is rich and famous but is in a job that she hates. Hoping that you like this story and enjoy it.
Story 7
Fantasy Fame
Sitting in the sunset with her black auburn streaked hair and her emerald
green eyes sparkling in the sun, Amber gazed into the kaleidoscopic sunset.
Her mind was wandering around in a fog of uncertainty and her dazzling
career was standing on the threshold of a new light. Suddenly, paparazzi
came storming up the hill like a stampede; holding her breath and brushing
back her hair, Amber glued on a smile.
After the paparazzi had bombarded Amber, wiped her sweet smile off of
her face and a rouge tear ran down her rosy cheeks. She was in a forced
career and she had no one to comfort her. Amber’s heart was torn and as
a professional actress, she was spectacular at hiding it from the unforgiving
world.
Her blazing red dress danced in the wind and the viridescent grass swayed
around her feet. The deep blue waves crashed against the rocky cliffs and
she had made up her mind. Her decision was as clear as the deep blue
ocean. “I QUIT!” screamed Amber. Her voice echoed throughout the theatre and
the shocked glances made her bright smile worth even more. “You can’t!”
said the agitated voice of her director, but as Amber strutted out the door
she took no notice of him.
Her life was in a new light and she was going to make every second count.
She walked down the Hollywood walk of fame and saw her name glittering
on the pavement. Amber had an actual smile sitting on her face and her
emerald eyes glistened with happiness. Her new life started now.

My Science Hypothesis
In class, we are doing an experiment. We are experimenting to see if estuaries really are affected by run-offs. 'Run-offs' are leftover fertilizer and nutrients being washed off the land and into the sea. Estuaries are the nurseries of the sea so it is threatening to the aquatic ecosystem if estuaries are harmed. This is a template I created to show and tell our experiment.

Mortal Engines Book Review
Here I am doing another book review. This book review is about Mortal Engines. I loved this book and it kept me intrigued.
A few weeks ago, I read Mortal Engines. Mortal Engines is a fantasy chapter book written by Philip Reeve.
In the distant future, cities on wheels fight each other for survival. In my own words, this book is about a poor boy who thought life was all fun and games until he gets thrown out into the bare wasteland that people call earth. Due to people fighting and their eager thirst to win, humans created a death bomb that made the world into a desert. The boy makes a friend and they end up travelling to get to London.
I would recommend this book for ages 11 and up because it flies you through a world of fantasy and imagination.

The Bricks People Are On In S2
This graph shows what bricks people in my class (S2) are on. It shows the brick and how many people are on it. Over time people move up a brick so I might create another graph to show the changes in my data.
This is how it turned out and I think it represents the data very well. 27 is hard so I think that's why only 1 person has exceeded and moved up to that brick.

How To Make An Ukutangi
This is my explanation writing of how to make a traditional Maori Ukutangi. Explanation writing comes with a hook, a focus sentence and background info. In class, we made one and we are giving it to someone special in our life. There is a lot of different type of Taonga Puoro but in class, we made 1 of the hundreds. An Ukutangi. This explanation teaches you how to make one.
Traditional Taonga Puoro
He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly, I will sing your
praises.” -Hebrews 2:12. When we make music we feel alive and happy.
Taonga Puoro’s are traditional Maori musical instruments; they were used for messages,
ceremonies and making a calm space. Taonga Puoro’s have had a special place in Maori
tradition for centuries and slowly they spread around the globe! There are many different
types and read on if you want to make one of them. An Ukutangi. To make a Ukutangi you
need to know-how. This explanation will teach you.
To Start Off Your Ukutangi
Firstly, to make a traditional Ukutangi you need to have some clay. This clay can be any type of
colour. After you have found some clay, you need to roughly split it in half.
Pick up one half and start to mould it into a rough sphere.
Then you imprint your thumb in the middle of your sphere and use your
first three fingers to pinch and rotate the sides. The thumb will be in the middle to rotate and the other
two will be pinching the sides. The sides need to be thick to make a proper sound. After you finish
your first half, repeat on the second.
Making Some Noise
After you have finished making the two halves into a bowl-like shape, you use a toothpick to softly
scratch the tops of your Ukutangi. To continue making your Ukutangi, you need to combine your two
bowls and smooth down the line. Finally, you grab your pinky finger and drill a hole in the top of your
Ukutangi until you come to the space in it.
Enjoy Your Maori Ukutangi
After you have let the clay dry you have a traditional Maori Ukutangi. You can carve in designs and
make bird noises too! Just blow half your breath in the Ukutangi and half out. Have fun and teach others
to do the same. Ecclesiastes 8:15 “So I recommend the enjoyment of life, for there is nothing better on earth for a person to do except to eat, drink, and enjoy life.
So joy will accompany him in his toil during the days of his life which God gives him on earth...”
The Trip To The Planetarium
This is the poster I created to show my view on the trip to the planetarium. It shows how I felt about it and some things we learnt. The stars are amazing and this trip helped me and others experience the solar system in an unimaginable way.
