In class, we are doing a Brick test and I am currently stuck on Brick 22! It is one of the hardest bricks in my opinion (mainly because I can't move off of it). So, to help me move off 22, we made a goal sheet. It shows where we are, where we want to be and how we're going to get there. Enjoy!

Naming Objects In Te Reo Maori
In Maori, we are learning to name objects and we are starting to say where about in the classroom they are positioned. In this Google slide, I am stating if the object is or is not what I am saying.

Decheis Explanation On Plants Process Of Excretion
Throughout the world, plants are found and they all excrete the same way. They have a different more complicated way of producing waste than animals and humans. Even though they don't have excretional organs they still produce waste. This explanation tells you how.

How Plants Excrete
In the plant kingdom, plants process waste in a completely different way than humans
and animals. They have multiple different processes to do so. Even though there are
hundreds upon thousands of species of plants they all excrete in the same way! Plants
excreting is a fascinating process and this piece of writing explains how.
Osmosis
Firstly, to understand how plants excrete you need to understand osmosis. Osmosis
plays a vital part in plants excreting. Osmosis is the movement of water and nutrients
from the root to the entire plant. It absorbs water and nutrients from the soil and
transports them through the plant. Xylem vessels take the freshly absorbed water
and nutrients from the part of the plant that has the highest concentration in water
and nutrients to the lowest concentration.
The Xylem Vessels
Xylem vessels are molecules that carry the excess water and nutrients from osmosis to
the leaves. The wood in tree trunks is mostly made of xylem vessels. Xylem vessels
transport water and nutrients through the plant and then to the leaves for the plant to
excrete. Once the xylem vessels have completed their job the plant is ready to excrete
using transpiration.
Transpiration
Finally, through transpiration plants can excrete. Inside the leaves, there are minuscule
pores called stomata. The stomata is the most important part when the plant excretes;
it would be impossible for plants to excrete without stomata! The water and nutrients
is dropped off in the leaves by the xylem vessels. Then the process of transpiration
is put in motion. Transpiration takes the water and nutrients and shoves them into the
stomata (pores) in the leaves. The water and nutrients is then released into the world.
After that, the entire process starts again.
Now You Know
Now you know how plants excrete. The process is amazing and confusing at times,
but you can gaze in awe at the process of a plant excreting and its wonders in the end.

Finding The Area Of The Tricky Triangles And Their Cousins The Rectangles
In math's, we are learning to find the area of tricky triangles and their cousins the rectangles. Finding the area of these two shapes can be very difficult. That is why I am guiding you through the 3 step process 1 step at a time. Here they are:
Step 1: First off, you need to find the area of the rectangle that the triangle is in. To do this all you need to do is multiply the measurements of the height (the side) by the length (the bottom).
Step 2: Great! Now find the area of the triangle. To do this divide the base by two (the base can be anywhere) and then multiply it by the height (which is always perpendicular to the base).
Step 3: Last but not least, subtract the area of the triangle from the area of the rectangle.
Now, any question that involves the area of tricky triangles, their cousins the rectangles or both, you now have the tools to solve it. Don't get upset if you didn't get it first try because neither did I. Just try again and you will succeed!
